Amanda Kloots is the mastermind behind NYC's hottest workouts, The Rope and The Dance. She is changing the game in fitness creating fun, high energy workout classes that don't involve your standard machinery. I've yet to try one of Amanda's classes in person, but frequently join her in her Instagram live jumprope sessions, and she inspired me to start regularly jumping on my own. Amanda's high energy and positive attitude makes her workouts fun and inspiring. So excited to have her on the blog!!

Tell us a little bit about yourself! I am from Ohio but have lived in NYC for 17 years.  I have performed on Broadway and was a Radio City Rockette before falling in love with fitness and starting my own business.  I created the worlds first jump rope workout called The Rope and also have two original classes The Dance and The Body!

What is your zodiac sign? Pisces

You're revolutionizing the fitness industry! What inspired you to start The Rope and The Dance?  I started The Rope because I fell in love with jump rope.  I kept thinking that a class using the rope in cool and different ways would be the ultimate workout.  The Dance came from my love of dancing!  I love teaching dance cardio but I wanted a class that was all dancing for the whole hour, never stopping, always high energy!

What does a day in the life of Amanda look like?  It's BUSY! I wake up and start training private clients pretty much all day!  If I have class at Bandier that evening I try to take a little afternoon nap to recharge my batteries, but I am usually working out from 9am to 9pm.

What is the best part of what you do? The hardest part? The best part about what I do is helping people achieve their goals and seeing them improve!  The hardest part is all the workouts, haha!  I work out with every single on of my clients.

What is the biggest message you want to share through your platform?  Working out should be an uplifting, fun, and positive environment!  I want people to find a workout that they look forward to going to, that they make time for!
